It’s been while, friends.
Life’s been a little hectic for me the last month.
I went back to school to pursue my dream (finally!) and as you can imagine, I was soon faced with assignments after another!
Managing time is still an issue for me. I struggle with it on a daily basis! what can I say, the girl loves her sleep and her shows.
Overall, it’s been challenging yet so rewarding. The other night, I nailed my chapter test! scored 100%! This is after not studying it, too!. I was quite amused at myself.
I’ve been enjoying being a student. It can be tough at times finding the energy or time to get all the school work done, but I find ways to get it done. It can mean doing a project in a day with enormous amount of pressure or taking a test without studying any.
So, here I am updating you where my life has been the last month but I mostly wanted to share with you something I learned about myself.
Growing up, trying hard to get something or anything in life was never in the picture for me. Life was hard enough the best thing I did was to get by each day. I still do at times. That’s all I did the last 8 years! Can you believe that? I didn’t have the time to study so I waited the last minute to finish it. I didn’t have energy to go to school after working all day so I dropped out. I didn’t have enough money to go back to school so I decided maybe school isn’t for me. I finally got enough money to go back to school but I needed my savings first.
It wasn’t until recently I have realized I don’t have much time to decide what I want in life. All this time, I thought I had time so I’d tell myself the “maybe next year” and go on with my oh so easy life. Well, that’s about to change now. I want to do better for myself and for my future kids. Not only that, I want to accomplish something for once. I want to try so hard at something and experience what it means to get to the top. I’m tired of being stuck and keep telling myself how much I love my job. I want to move forward and be better at whatever I do. So, in order to get to the top, I will need to be better at time management and prioritize what’s more important. I’m going to try to stick with my schedule. I’ll get better at writing too. I’ll take a writing course to improve my writing skills. I will not sit around this time. It’s time to get my shit together.
So friends, whatever you’re deciding in life, just go for it. You may not have much time. Don’t wait for another opportunity.
