Greetings everyone! Welcome to Ava & Marie’s very first beauty review! I’m a little nervous but excited to share our passion for beauty!! I don’t know about you but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE fresh painted nails. I try to keep my nails looking fresh and polished every once a week. However, with a busy schedule, I can get a little lazy at times, which is why I have decided to invest in a base and top coat polishes to prevent from reapplying often. Essie recently came out with a gel topcoat polish to give that no chip manicure look. Instead of spending $25-30 every 2 weeks at the nail salon, you could spend the same amount for a much longer wear.
- Essie base coat (helps nail grow stronger) costs $8.50
- Essie Gel Setter top coat costs $10.00
- Regular Essie nail polish costs $8.50
I love Essie products because it lasts about 7-8 days without chipping. I was a little skeptical about the new top coat but it truly lives up to what it’s supposed to do. The base coat is great to start the first layer. This step is very very important especially when applying dark nail polish to prevent stains. The color I’ve been enjoying is called, Hubby for Dessert. It’s a soft pastel purple tone that will go very well with any natural look. I had to apply three times to get it to opaque look. Let me know how you like the three products! #avesbeauty
